0 Is Nokia overlooking Android to adopt Meego

We know the Meego is nearing its launch and Nokia and Intel's joint efforts will lead to something good .But it looks like Nokia has overlooked the Android OS for its new range of devices .

Many industry experts feel Nokia should feature a Android powered phone and get in a head to head competition with its market rivals .

Nokia has been the leader in smartphones since a long time but now the market trends have changed and most of the users are moving to Android's , iPhone and RIM products , despite of the lot of buzz about the rivals and the constant news coverage on these products Nokia stands as the market leader but Nokia's share in the global smartphone market has been seeing a drop since the launch of android powered smartphones and this is seriously posing a threat to Nokia. And the reason why Meego has been implemented in future Nokia devices is the same .
Meego promises a better UI a faster performance and easy use along with its open nature .According to the company's executive vice president Niklas Savander, if the company uses Android, then it would lose sight of its true "destiny" , he also stated that stated that Nokia doesn’t want to hand over its destiny to a third party, which is Google in the case of Android. Nokia remains committed to MeeGo and Symbian.

While Fortune's JP Mangalindan writes that by adopting Android as its OS, the company would be able to allocate more resources into developing eye-catching mobile devices, similar to what Motorola has done with its Droid and Droid X devices.

There are a lot of opinions on the Android Nokia tie ups but the most important point is user satisfaction .Be it updates , bugs or any such relevant problems , we hope Nokia brings a finished product for us and not a crappy device which nobody would love to buy .
