0 Verizon's Droid 2 World edition supposed to replace the Droid 2

While its just a month the Droid 2 was released and now the rumors surrounding the air are that Verizon may slowly discontinue the Droid 2 and soon be carrying the yet to be launched Droid 2 World edition .
According to BGR this could be the way for the much rumored Droid2 World edition.

But if Verizon starts selling the new Droid 2 World edition for the same $199 price, this would be a hard kick for those geeks who ran up to the nearest stores to get a Droid 2 recently . And the most important question is : Would Verizon keep up with its future Android updates on the Droid 2 , or would it ditch those users like the Droid Eris users who would never see any Android update in future and Android 2.1 comes as an end to updates for them .
