0 Transferring / Importing playlist from Computer ( Windows media player) to Nokia Device

IMPORTING / TRANSFERRING  Windows media or other music players playlists to your Nokia phones without any edit ,
Do you -
Copy the list of 500 songs out of which 100 are your all time favourites and wish to keep them in one place to be accessed via your Media player on phone .
Sitting down and adding 100 songs to a playlist on phone is really tedious and that too on a touch screen phone is my worst experience where you need to open menu and individually select the mark option for all 100 songs .
While many users try to copy the windows media player playlist in their phone with the songs but unfortunately it doesn't work , because neither do Nokia phones support ".wpl" format nor they can find files even if it is a supported format in  locations mentioned within the playlist which refer to computer location like " c:/users/songs" which is obviously inexistent on your phone .

Rather the best option available now to transfer your songs to phone along with playlist creation is OVI MUSIC player where you have option to Import playlist from Windows media player .

  • In OVI MUSIC player Go to :  FILE > Import playlist >
  • Your Windows media player playlists can be found here "C:\Users\Zonkie\Music\Playlists"
  • Select the desired one and once you see it in playlists column on right side , 'Right Click ' on it , and ' Transfer to Nokia ( xxx-model name) .
  • Now the songs are copied in the same folder on your phone but you have managed your most favorite songs and least favorite songs in different playlists .

-- OR --

If you don't have any playlist to Import

  • Just create it within OVI music player and Transfer it to your device in the same way shown above .

Songs Once transferred on the phone cannot be tagged to playlists all together , they need individual attention :P
